  19. 1 Tbsp corn starch dissolved in 1 Tbsp cold water

  1. Make sauce: Add water, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, brown sugar,and sesame oil to a small pan. Bring just to a boil and turn off heat. Add in the corn starch mixture to thicken. The sauce should have the consistency of melted chocolate.
  2. Cook vegetables and pork: Add 1 Tbsp oil to a large skillet. Heat on high and add vegetables to get quick sear. Season with salt and pepper. Lower heat to low- medium and cover. When vegetables are softened (This is stir fry so you don’t want to over soften. I like some firmness) remove to a plate and cover to keep warm.
  3. Add another 1-2 Tbsp of oil to the skillet and heat on high. Add pork, sear and cook through. Turn off heat. Move pork to the side and add ginger and garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the vegetables to the skillet and then add in the sauce. Mix well to coat the pork and vegetables.
  5. Plate the teriyaki pork along with some rice. Add some color with cherry tomatoes or another vegetable. Garnish with chopped scallions or chives. Enjoy!
