- Add the dal and rice and saute for 2 minutes. Add tamarind extract.
- Add 4 times volume of dal+rice. 8 cups water for 1 cup rice and 1 cup dal. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
- Add chopped coriander. Optionally you can add Tadka (ghee, mustard, jeera, dried red chilli, garlic, onion). You can also add crispy veggies like fried onion or baked okra.
